Use the Live Load Reduction By Stories Supported form to specify reduction factors depending on the number of stories supported by an element.
Number of Stories Supported edit box. Specify the number of stories supported.
Reduction Factor edit box. Specify the reduction factor for the specified number of stories supported.
Add button.
Specify the number(s) of stories supported and the reduction factor(s).
Click the Add button.
Modify button.
Highlight the factor data to be modified.
Enter the modification(s) in the edit box(es).
Click the Modify button.
Delete button.
Highlight the factor data to be deleted.
Click the Delete button.
Important Note: ETABS applies live load reduction to frame objects (and links) and wall-type shell objects only. It does not apply live load reduction to floor-type shell objects.

Access the Live Load Reduction By Stories Supported form as follows:
Click the Design menu> Live Load Reduction command to access the Live Load Reduction Factor form.
Select the User-Defined (By Stories Supported) option.
Click the Define button
