Draw Reference Points

The Draw menu > Draw Reference Points command establishes a point that is then projected as a vertical line.

1. Set the active window to a Plan view.

2. Click the Draw menu > Draw Reference Points command. The cursor becomes an arrow and the draw reference point mode is enabled. A Properties of Object  form also displays.

3. Move the arrow to the desired location and click the left mouse button. Alternately, specify values for Plan Offset X and Plan Offset Y in the Properties of Object  form to locate the point.

4. Exit the draw reference point mode by clicking the Select Object button or by depressing the Esc key on the keyboard.

5. Change to a 3D view; the reference line is projected vertically from the reference point.
