Quick {Cartesian, Cylindrical} Grids Form

Use the Quick {Cartesian,  Cylindrical} Grids form to specify the Grid Dimensions and X/R and Y/T Grid Labeling scheme.  The data specified on this form is transferred automatically to the Grid System Data form when the OK button is clicked.

Access the Quick {Cartesian,  Cylindrical} Grids form as follows:

Method 1:

  1. Click the File menu > New Model command to display the New Model Quick Templates form.

  2. Select the Custom Grid Spacing option

  3. Click the Edit Grid Data button to access the Grid System Data form.

  4. Click the Quick Start New Rectangular Grids button.

Note:  The Quick Cylindrical Grids form will not display until a cylindrical system has been defined, which can be accomplished as follows:  First define a rectangular system; then add a new grid system using the Edit menu > Edit Stories and Grid Systems command (or Edit Towers, Stories and Grid Systems command) > Add New System button, and choose the Cylindrical option on the Add New Grid System Quick form.

Method 2

  1. Click the Edit menu > Edit Stories and Grid Systems command to access the Edit Story and Grid System Data form.

Note: If the Options menu > Allow Multiple Towers command has been enabled, the Edit menu > Towers, Stories and Grid Systems command will be available and used in place of the Edit Stories and Grid Systems command to access the Tower, Story and Grid System Data form.

  1. Highlight a Grid System definition in the Grid Systems display area.

  2. Click the Modify/Show Grid System button  to access the Grid System Data form.

  3. Click the Quick Start New  {Rectangular, Cylindrical} Grids button.
