Grid Labeling Options Form

Use the Grid Labeling Options form to specify a labeling scheme, other than the default scheme, for a coordinate grid system. The labeling scheme is based on specifying a beginning ID and a labeling direction:  right to left or left to right and bottom to top or top to bottom. By default, labeling in the X direction is alphabetic and labeling in the Y direction is numeric; however, these items can be reversed.

The labeling scheme defined here applies to the entire coordinate system, although multiple individual coordinate systems can be defined if a complex labeling system is required.

Adjust the size of the bubble used to display the labeling by clicking the Edit Grid button on the Coordinate System Definition form.

Access the Grid Labeling Options form as follows:

Method 1:

  1. Click the File menu > New Model command to display the New Model form to start a new model.

  2. Select the Grid Only button to access the Coordinate System Definition form.

  3. Click the Grid Labels button.

Method 2:

  1. Click the Define menu > Coordinate System command to display the Coordinate Systems form.

  2. Click the Add New System button to access the Coordinate System Definition form.

  3. Click the Grid Labels button.
