Use the Define menu > Soil Subgrade Properties command to access the Soil Subgrade Properties form and define a named soil property with a specified subgrade modulus that can be assigned to an area object that lies in the model datum plan. Soil subgrade moduli are defined as force/length/area.
Note: The soil subgrade properties also can be accessed by right clicking the Soil Subgrade Properties sub node, or right clicking on one of the items in the list under this sub node, both under the Property Definitions node on the Model tab in the Model Explorer window.
Add New Property button. Click this button to access the Soil Subgrade Property Data form and define the new soil property:

button to add property notes.Property: Input the soil subgrade modulus value in the edit box. The soil subgrade modulus is used to define the stiffness of soil springs in the vertical, or global Z-axis direction.
Add Copy of Property button. Highlight one of the soil properties in the Soil Subgrade Property list and click this button to access the Soil Subgrade Property Data form. All edit boxes, drop-down lists, and option selections (except for the Property Name) on that form will be populated with values identical to those of the highlighted soil property. Values may be revised as necessary and then saved to create a new soil property.

Note: "None" is included in the Soil Subgrade Property list when using the Assign menu > Support Data > Soil Properties command. When None is highlighted, only the button remains available because the "None definition" is empty and has no values associated with it. Selecting the None property definition and assigning it to an object removes any definition previously assigned to that object.
