Form: View Properties
Use the Edit View Properties command to access the View Properties form and review, and where appropriate, revise the text and graphical elements used on individual object views.
Set the window to an object view using the Detailing menu > Show Detailing command and the Display Detailing Item form; select the type of view (Slab/Mat/Footing View, Beam View, and so on); use the drop-down lists to select the individual view.
Alternatively, click the Object Views node on the Detailing tab of the Model Explorer to expand the list of available object nodes; click on a sub-node (e.g., Slab Views, Beam Views) to display the Individual {Object Type} Views node items; expand that node to display the individual object view name (e.g., Rebar Plan, Top Rebar Plan, and so on).
Right click on the object shown in the window to display a drop-down menu; select the Edit View Properties command.
Alternatively, right click on the name of the individual object item on the Model Explorer to display a drop-down menu; select the Edit View Properties command.
Use the edit boxes and drop-down lists on the View Properties form to adjust the text and graphical elements used with the individual views.
Main Caption edit box. Shows the text displayed below each view. The program generates the default text based on the view type.
Sub Caption edit box. Shows sub-text displayed below the main caption. Generally this text identifies the scale applied to the view. It can be changed to display other text.
Scale drop-down list. Select any appropriate scale from the list. The available scales are based on the options specified in Drawing Sheet Setup form.
Basic Text Height edit box. This value is set on the Drawing Sheet Setup form and controls the size of the text when the selected drawing sheet size is scaled to fit the selected paper size. All font sizes are scaled with respect to this Basic Text Height. The font size for various types of text items can be specified using the Text tab on the Drawing Format Properties form.
Basic Symbol Size edit box. This value controls the actual size of normal dimension arrowhead and the like when the drawing sheet size is scaled to match the selected paper size. The dimension arrowhead type and size can be specified using the Arrowhead tab on the Drawing Format Properties form.
Line Thickness edit box. This value specifies the actual width of a line of normal thickness when the drawing sheet size is scaled to fit the selected paper size. The Line Thickness for different items can be specified using the Line tab on the Drawing Format Properties form.
Click the Reset Default Values button to eliminate changes made to the form and restore program defaults at any time during the detailing process.
