Use the Export View command to export the selected view to a .dxf, dwg, or xml format.
Expose the name of the view on the Detailing tab of the Model Explorer
Right click on the view to display a drop-down menu that includes the Export View command.
Click the Export View command to access the Export View form. Use that form to specify the path and filename and the output type (dxf, dwg or xml).
Note the following:
The AutoCAD 2000+ Drawing Format (DWG) option will be available only if the AutoCAD program is installed and available on the computer where the export is originating.
Click the button to the right of the Target Directory edit box to display the Browse For Folder form; use that form to specify a revised path and filename for saving the exported output.
Click Start Export to start the export process. The progress will be shown at the bottom of the form. Click the Cancel button to abort the export process at anytime. Click on Done to exit the form.
