Required beam flexural and shear reinforcement for each beam is displayed in reinforcement diagrams along the beam. Flexural and shear reinforcement are shown separately. Required top and bottom flexural reinforcement is displayed as total area required. The required shear reinforcement is shown as area required per unit length of beam (sq-in/ft, sq-cm/m or sq-mm/m units). Numerical values of required reinforcement can be displayed at every design station or at controlling points along the beam length. The extent of required reinforcement can be shown. This does not currently include any allowance for development lengths, and so forth. Whether the beam reinforcing displayed satisfies the code minimums is dependent on the user-controlled setting of this option.
The tabular results for beam reinforcing include the beam label, the beam property, the station location along the length of the beam, the governing design combination for the top reinforcing, the top moment, the top rebar required based on the moment, the minimum top rebar as specified by the code, the governing design combination for the bottom reinforcing, the bottom moment, the bottom rebar required based on the moment, the minimum bottom rebar as specified by the code, the governing design combination for the shear reinforcing, the shear force, the shear rebar required, a status check (OK, Flexural Failure, Shear Failure, Flexural and Shear Failure), and the global X and Y coordinates of the station. Flexural results are total rebar areas for the beam, shear results are area required per unit length of beam. Again, development length and so forth are not considered.
It is noted again that currently no design is preformed for the torque in the beam.
