Use the Choose Data Tables form to select the types of model data to be edited interactively, displayed, printed, exported or selected. The options available on the form depend on the command used to access the form.
Display area. The tables available for interactive editing, display, printing, export or selection are listed in this area. Check the check box associated with an item to include that item in the editing, display, print, export or selection.
Expand the tree associated with a table type by clicking on the plus (+) symbol that precedes the table type name. Continue expanding the tree until the table appears (Table: {Name}). Right click on the table name to display a drop-down menu with options to Display Table, Export Table or Print Table, and if the model is unlocked, edit the selected table using the Interactive Database Editing form.
If the Display Table option is selected, another drop-down menu will appear with several display options, including In SAP2000. Select the In SAP2000 option to display the table form. Click one of the commands on the Format-Filter-Sort menu on the displayed table form to access the Modify/Show Database Table Format form. Use that form to modify the default or previously set format for printing, displaying, or exporting the data tables.
Select Load Patterns button. Click this button to access the Select Load Patterns form. Highlight the load pattern(s) to be included in the editing, display, print or export. Click the Clear All button on that form to exclude data for all load patterns.
Select Load Case button. Click this button to display the Select Load Cases form. Use that form to select the load cases to be included in the display of tables.
Modify/Show Options button. Click this button to display the Output Options form. Use the form to specify how the analysis results will be displayed depending on the type of analysis (e.g., Envelopes, Step-by-Step and so on).
Selection Only check box. If objects were selected before the command to access the Choose Data Tables form was used, this check box will be checked and the data for only the selected objects will be included in the editing, display, print or export. Uncheck this check box to include all data in the editing, display, print or export.
Show Unformatted check box. This check box is available when the Display menu > Show Tables command is used to display the Choose Tables for Display form. When this check box is checked, the data will display without default formatting or the formatting specified using the Options menu > Database > Set Current Format File Source command.
Show All Fields check box. This check box is available when the Edit menu > Interactive Database Editing command is used to display the Choose Tables for Interactive Editing form. Check this option to write all possible model definition fields in the chosen tables, even when data is not present in those fields in the current model.
Output Type and (Print) Options area. When the Choose Data Tables for Printing form is displayed by using the File menu > Print Tables command, choose from the following Output and Print options:
Output Type:
RTF File. When this option is selected, SAP2000 will create the printout as an electronic file in a rich text format (.RTF) using the path and filename you specify.
TXT File. When this option is selected, SAP2000 will create the printout in a plain text (ASCII) file with a .TXT extension using the path and filename you specify.
TXT w/o Splits. When this option is selected, SAP2000 will create the printout in a plain text (ASCII) file with a .TXT extension using the path and filename you specify. The file will generate as a continuous feed print without page breaks.
HTML File. When this option is selected, SAP2000 will create the printout in hyper-text markup language with an HTML extension using the path and filename you specify.
(Print) Options:
Print to Printer. This option is only available if the TXT option has been selected as the Output Type. When this option is selected, SAP2000 will print the tables to the selected printer.
Print to File. When this option is selected, SAP2000 will print the tables to file. This is the default option.
Print Landscaped. When this option is selected, SAP2000 will create a printout that is wider than it is high.
Filter Criteria. The Modify/Show Database Table Format form may be used to apply filtering to the data in the table(s). Use this option to specify that the filtering criteria be printed after the table title.
Hyperlinked Contents. When this option is selected, SAP2000 will insert a contents page in the printout that has hyperlinks from the section heading in the contents page to sections within the report.
Open File After Export check box. This check box is available when the File menu > Export > {Program} command is used to display the Choose Tables for Export to {Program} form. Check this check box to have the appropriate program open the exported file immediately after export.
Use Text Editor or Use Microsoft Word options. When the data is exported to a text file, use one of these options to open (and thus save) the file as a .txt file, or as a .doc file.
Expose All Input Tables check box. When this check box is checked, the list of available options in the display area of the Choose Data Tables form will change to show all of the input data tables in the model. This option is not available when the form is accessed using the Display menu > Show Tables command or the File menu > Print Tables command.
Save Named Set and Show Named Set buttons. After the other options have been set on the form, click the Save Named Set button to display the Database Table Named Sets form. Use the form to add, modify or delete a named set. A named set is the settings specified on the form. Saving those settings allows them to be easily recalled using the Show Named Set button and applied to another edit, display, print or export.
Table Formats File button. Click this button to display the Set Database Table Formats File form. The form has an option to use the default table format, or to select a previously defined .fmt (format) file. Format files can be created using the Save Format button on the Create Custom Report form, or the Save Table Format to File button on the Modify/Show Database Table Format form.
