Define Named Sets

Forms: Define Database Table Named Sets, Virtual Work Diagram, Define Pushover Named Sets, Pushover Named Set Data, Response Spectrum Named Sets, Plot Function Trace Display Definition

Use the Define menu > Named Sets command to save the options selected on the various forms used to generate output (tables, curves, and the like) as a definition known as a Named Set. The various types of Named Sets that can be defined are generated using the follow options:

Note:  A nonlinear static (pushover) analysis case must be defined in the model for this command to be available.

The Pushover Named Set Data form has the following areas:

Note:  A Time History function and a Time History load case must be defined in the model for this command to be available.  

The Response Spectrum Named Sets form can also be used to change the name of a Named Set or to delete a named set. To change the name, highlight the Named Set in the display area, type the new name in the Resp Spec Set edit box and click the Change RS Set Name button. To delete a Named Set, highlight the Named Set in the display area and click the Delete RS Set button.

Note:  A Time History function and a Time History load case must be defined in the model for this command to be available.  

    1. Click the Define menu > Named Sets > Plot Function Traces command to display the Plot Function Trace Display Definition form.

    2. Use the various options on that form to define the required output. For more information about the options, display areas, drop-down lists and buttons on the form, see the Plot Functions topic.

    3. When all selections have been made, click the Save Named Set button to display the Plot Function Trace Named Sets form.

      1. Type the name of the Named Set in the Plot Function Set edit box.

      2. Click the Add New PF Set button.

The Plot Function Trace Named Sets form can also be used to change the name of a Named Set or to delete a named set. To change the name, highlight the Named Set in the display area, type the new name in the Plot Function Set edit box and click the Change PF Set Name button. To delete a Named Set, highlight the Named Set in the display area and click the Delete PF Set button.
