Form: Assign Frame Fireproofing
Use the Assign menu > Frame Loads > Fireproofing command to access the Assign Frame Fireproofing form and specify the type and density of fireproofing applied to selected frames.
Select the frame(s) to be assigned fireproofing.
Click the Assign menu > Frame Loads > Fireproofing command to access the Assign Frame Fireproofing form.
Type options.
Sprayed On Fireproofing with Auto Perimeter option and Fireproofing Thickness edit box. With this option, the program determines the extent of the spray on application of fireproofing material along the length of the frame using the thickness specified in the Fireproofing Thickness edit box.
Sprayed On Fireproofing with User Perimeter option and Fireproofing Thickness and Fireproofing Perimeter (at Center of Fireproofing) edit box. With this option, use the Fireproofing Perimeter (at Center of Fireproofing) edit box to specify the extent of spray on application of the fireproofing material along the length of the frame using the thickness specified in the Fireproofing Thickness edit box.
Encased in Concrete Box option and Fireproofing Cover Thickness edit box. Use this option to specify concrete fireproofing rather than spray on fireproofing. Use the Fireproofing Cover Thickness edit box to specify the thickness of the concrete.
No Fireproofing On Top Flange check box. When this check box is checked, no fireproofing will be applied to the top flange of the frame object.
Load Options area allows the user to specify the fireproofing load is included in self weight, frame object gravity loads and as a global Z direction distributed load in a specified load pattern.
Density
Fireproofing Weight per Unit Volume edit box. Use the default or specify another value for the density of the fireproofing.
Units drop-down list. Use the units in this drop-down list or choose revised units for use on this form.
Options. Specify how the assignment is applied.
Replace Existing Fireproofing option. This option replaces any previous assignments made to the selected object(s). It is the default.
Delete Existing Fireproofing option. This option deletes all fireproofing assignments made to the selected object(s).
