Forms: Frame Property Modifiers, Frame Property Modifier Data, Cable Property Modifiers, Cable Property Modifier Data, Area Stiffness Modifiers, Area Stiffness Modifier Data, Frame End Releases, Frame End Release Data
Use the Define menu > Named Property Sets command and the submenu command--Frame Modifiers, Cable Modifiers, Area Modifiers, and Frame End Releases--to define modification factors.
Note: The modification factors specified using these command apply to Static Nonlinear Staged Construction Load Cases only.
A named set of property modifiers can be applied to a frame or area object during staged construction to change the property modifiers that were previously assigned or applied to the object. The effect of property modifiers in a named set is exactly the same as the effect of those modifiers that can be assigned directly to frame and area objects using the Assign menu > Frame > Property Modifiers command or the Assign menu > Area > Area Stiffness Modifers command. By default, all objects use the property modifiers that are assigned to them unless explicitly changed by applying a named set during staged construction, in which case they replace the previously assigned or applied property modifiers for all subsequent loading in the analysis. Named sets of property modifiers affect only the element values of the modifiers, not those which are defined as part of the frame/area section properties.
Define menu > Named Property Sets > Frame Modifiers. Click this command to access the Frame Property Modifiers form.
Click the Add New Modifiers button, or highlight a previously defined modifier definition and then click the Add Copy of Modifier or Modify/Show Modifier buttons, to access the Frame Property Modifier Data form. Use that form to specify the modifiers that will be applied to frames in a static nonlinear staged construction load case.
Highlight a previously defined modifier definition and clicking the Delete Modifier button will remove the highlighted modifier definition.
Define menu > Named Property Sets > Cable Modifiers. Click this command to access the Cable Property Modifiers form.
Click the Add New Modifiers button, or highlight a previously defined modifier definition and then click the Add Copy of Modifier or Modify/Show Modifier buttons, to access the Cable Property Modifier Data form. Use that form to specify modifiers for the cross-sectional area, mass and weight that will be applied to cables in a static nonlinear staged construction load case.
Highlight a previously defined modifier definition and clicking the Delete Modifier button will remove the highlighted modifier definition.
Define menu > Named Property Sets > Area Modifiers. Click this command to access the Area Stiffness Modifiers form.
Click the Add New Modifiers button, or highlight a previously defined modifier definition and then click the Add Copy of Modifier or Modify/Show Modifier buttons, to access the Area Stiffness Modifier Data form. Use that form to specify the modifiers that will be applied to areas in a static nonlinear staged construction load case.
Highlight a previously defined modifier definition and clicking the Delete Modifier button will remove the highlighted modifier definition.
Define menu > Named Property Sets > Frame Releases. Click this command to access the Frame End Releases form. A named set of frame releases can be applied to a frame object during staged construction to change the releases that were previously assigned or applied to the object. The effect of frame releases in a named set is exactly the same as the effect of those releases that can be assigned directly to selected frame objects using the Assign menu > Frame > Releases/Partial Fixity command. By default, all frame objects use the releases that are assigned to them unless explicitly changed by applying a named set during staged construction, in which case they replace the previously assigned or applied releases for all subsequent loading in the analysis.
Click the Add New Modifiers button, or highlight a previously defined modifier definition and then click the Add Copy of Modifier or Modify/Show Modifier buttons, to access the Frame End Release Data form. Use that form to specify the modifiers that will be applied to frame end releases in a static nonlinear staged construction load case.
Highlight a previously defined modifier definition and clicking the Delete Modifier button will remove the highlighted modifier definition.
