Frequency dependent link properties are used in steady state and power spectral density analysis. Use the Frequency Dependent Link Property Data form to specify the frequency, stiffness, and damping for user-selected degrees of freedom.
Property Name. SAP2000 will suggest a sequential default name. Type a new name in the edit box if required.
Section Notes Modify/Show button. Click this button to access the Frequency Dependent Link Notes form. Use that form to add Frequency Dependent Link notes to the model file.
Degrees of Freedom with Nonzero Properties Shown Checked. This area of the form helps keep track of which degrees of freedom have been given non-zero properties, as explained in the balance of the topic.
Show Properties for this Degree of Freedom. Use this drop-down list to select a degree of freedom to which nonzero values for frequency, stiffness and damping will be specified.
Properties for Degree of Freedom {Degree ID}. This area requires spreadsheet type input. Enter the necessary values for frequency, stiffness, and damping for the degree of freedom selected in the Show Properties for this Degree of Freedom drop-down list. The grid-lined display area will display a plot of the definition.
Click the Insert Row Above Row 1 button to insert a blank row of cells in the spreadsheet area and enter another row of data.
Click the Add Row {Number} button to add a blank row of cells at the end of the spreadsheet area.
Click the Clear button to reset the grid-lined display area.
Display Color. The color that will be used to display the property definition on-screen in the model.
Click on the "Display Color" text or the small sample square of the color to bring up the Color form.
Select the desired new color on the Color form and click the OK button.
