Additional Form: Fiber Hinge Properties for Hinge
Use the Define Fibers for Hinge {Number} form to define, review or modify the fiber definition data.
Number of Fibers edit box. Enter the number of fibers to be used in the definition. Increasing the number in this edit box will add rows to the Fiber Definition Data spreadsheet.
Overlay Section on Plot check box and Section drop-down list. To generate a graphic of the section showing placement of the fibers as the hinge is defined, check the Overlay Section on Plot check box and then select a section from the Section drop-down list. The selected section will be displayed in the "grid paper" display area in the upper right portion of the form.
Fiber Definition Data spreadsheet. Use the cells in this area of the form to specify the area and coordinates of the fibers to be used to define the hinge. The graphical display in the upper right of the form updates as changes are made in the cells of the spreadsheet.
By Coord3 button. Click this button to reorder the fiber definition data in ascending order by the values in the Coord3 column of the spreadsheet.
By Coord2 button. Click this button to reorder the fiber definition data in ascending order by the values in the Coord2 column of the spreadsheet.
Clean Fiber Data button. Click this button to delete all data from the spreadsheet.
Show Properties button. Click this button to display the Fiber Hinge Properties for Hinge form. This form is for display purposes and cannot be edited. Use the form to review the area, centroid, I33 and I22 of the fiber hinge and the section. The Overlay Section on Plot check box on the Define Fibers for Hinge {Number} form must be checked for the section properties to display.
