Edit Format File

Form: Database Table Formats File; Table Format File Data

Use the Options menu > Database > Edit Format File command to make changes to the tables to be included in a format file.

1. Click the Options menu > Database > Edit Format File command to access Database Table Formats File form.

2. Use the Database Table Formats File form to specify the file name and path to the format file to be edited. Click the Open button to access the Table Format File Data form.

   • Table Format File display box at the top of the form. Identifies the file name and path of the format file being edited.

   • Available Tables list. Identifies all of the tables used by the program.

   • Tables in Format File list. Identifies the tables to be included when the format file is used for reporting, printing, display, or exporting.

3. Use the >>  arrow button to move tables from the Available Tables list into the Tables in Format File list. Use the  << button to remove tables from the Tables in Format File list.

   • Modify/Show Format Data for Selected Tables button.

   • 1. Highlight a table name in the Tables in Format File list to enable the Modify/Show Format Data for Selected Tables button.

     2. Click the Modify/Show Format Data for Selected Tables button to access the Modify/Show Database Tables Format form for the selected table. Use that form to modify the presentation of data for the selected table.
