Form: Set Table Name Source
The database table names may be altered using the Options menu > Database > Set Current Table Name Source command. Select from the options available on the Set Table Name Source form.
Program Default option. This is the default. When this option is selected, SAP2000 uses the default table names programmed into the software when generating table.
Default File option. As indicated on the form, when this option is selected, SAP2000 reads the SapDefaultFormatFile.fmt file located in the user settings folder. If the SapDefaultFormatFile.fmt file does not exist or is not in the settings directory, SAP2000 will prompt for a different name.
? If you are having difficulties locating the settings folder, click the "?" (question mark) and a form showing the path to your settings folder will display. Note that this folder may be hidden.
User Specified File option and the Browse button. When this option is selected, the Table Name Source XML File form will display. Use that form to specify the file name and path for a previously defined .xml file to be used when generating tables. As necessary, click the Browse button to redisplay the form and locate another .xml file. For more information about .xml files, use the Help menu > Documentation command to access .xml topics.
