Girder-By-Girder Bridge Abutment Overwrites

Use the Grider-By-Girder Bridge Abutment Overwrites form to add, modify or delete bridge abutment overwrites.

Abutment Location display box. Specifies if the abutment is at the start or end of the bridge object.
Add New Overwrites button. Click this button to access the Abutment Overwrite Data form and add a new abutment overwrite to the model.
Add Copy of Overwrite button.
1. Highlight an existing overwrite in the Girder Number display list.
2. Click the Add Copy of Overwrite button to access the Abutment Overwrite Data form and add a new abutment overwrite to the model based on the Girder Number highlighted in Step 1.
Modify/Show Overwrite button.
1. Highlight an existing overwrite in the Girder Number display list.
2. Click the Modify/Show Overwrite button to access the Abutment Overwrite Data form and review/modify the overwrite data for the Girder Number highlighted in Step 1.
Delete Overwrite button.
1. Highlight an existing overwrite in the Girder Number display list.
2. Click the Delete Overwrite button to remove that overwrite from the model.

Access the Grider-By-Girder Bridge Abutment Overwrites form as follows:

Method 1

At a minimum, create a Layout Line and define a Deck Section.
Click the Bridge > Bridge Objects > Expand arrow command, or on the Bridge Wizard select the Bridge Object Definitions item and click the Define/Show Bridge Object button, to display the Define Bridge Objects form.
- Alternatively, bypass the Define Bridge Objects form by clicking the Bridge > Bridge Objects > New command and go directly to the Bridge Object Data form identified in the next step.
Click the Add New Bridge Object, or highlight a previous bridge object definition and click the Add Copy of Bridge Object or Modify/Show Bridge Object button, to display the Bridge Object Data form.
In the Modify/Show Assignments display list, highlight the Abutments item and click the Modify/Show button to display the Bridge Object Abutment Assignments form.
Click the Girder-by-Girder Overwrites Modify/Show Overwrites button to access the Grider-By-Girder Bridge Abutment Overwrites form.

Method 2

Click the Bridge > Update > Update command, or on the Bridge Wizard highlight the Update Linked Model item and click the Update Linked Model button, to display the Update Bridge Structural Model form.
Click the Modify/Show Selected Object button to display the Bridge Object Data form.
In the Modify/Show Assignments display list, highlight the Abutments item and click the Modify/Show button to display the Bridge Object Abutment Assignments form.
Click the Girder-by-Girder Overwrites Modify/Show Overwrites button to access the Grider-By-Girder Bridge Abutment Overwrites form.
