Form: Set Grid System Visibility
By default grid systems are visible, as defined on the Grid System Data form. The View menu > Set Grid System Visibility command can be used to selectively make a given grid system invisible (or reverse the condition and make the grid system visible again). This command is useful to remove "clutter" from a view when multiple grid lines have been created in a model.
Note: By default, the model will display with grid-paper-type grid lines. Uncheck the Horizon check box on the General tab of the Set View Options form to turn off those grid lines.
Click the View menu > Set Grid System Visibility command to display the Set Grid System Visibility form. The grid systems that have been defined in the system will be displayed in the Visible Grid Systems display list because by default these are visible.
Highlight a grid system ID in that list and click the button to move it to the Available Grid Systems display list and hide the grid system.
To hide the grid system in all windows and not just the active window, check the Apply to All Windows check box.
Click the OK button to close the form and hide the designated grid system(s). The system is not removed from the model; the lines and bubbles used to illustrate the system are simply hidden from view.
To show the grid system lines and labeling, reverse the process using the button.
The following check boxes can be used to hide (checked) or show (unchecked) grid lines, reference points, and reference planes. When a check box is checked, the grid lines, reference points, or reference planes are hidden regardless of other settings applied using the form.
Hide All Grid Lines in Window check box. Check to quickly hide all grid lines in the model.
Hide All Reference Points in Window check box. Check to quickly hide all reference points in the model.
Hide All Reference Planes in Window check box. Check to quickly hide all reference planes in the model.
