Form: Beam-Type Line Object Information
Access the Beam-Type Line Object Information form by moving the mouse pointer over the beam/line object and clicking the right mouse button. If more than one object occurs at the same location, hold down the Shift key and then click the right mouse button to display a selection list; select the object from the selection list. If the model is unlocked, changes to beam/line objects can be made using this form.
Line Object Name. Identifies the line. SAFE automatically assigns an alphanumeric identifier to beam/line objects in the sequence they are added to the model.
These line objects are used to model beams, supports and line loads in the model datum plane.
Assignments tab. Left click in the edit box (not the name) to display the form needed to change this assignment.

Geometry tab. Displays the length of the beam/line in the selected units, along with the coordinates of its start and end points. Click in the Beam Curve Type edit box to access the Line Object Type Options form where the Line Type may be altered.
Loads tab. Displays all loads assigned to the beam/line for each load pattern. Clicking the Add Beam Loads form, which provides access to additional forms for assigning additional loads (Point Loads On Lines form, Distributed Loads on Lines form).
button displays theDesign tab. Displays the source that the program will use to determine the cover when doing beam design, and the reduction factor to be applied to beam design forces associated with reducible live load cases. Click in the edit box to display the Beam Design Overwrites form.
Reset All: The
button resets any changes made to the items on the tabs to the values displayed when the form was first opened.Note: This form can also be accessed by expanding the tree under Objects > Line Objects on the Model tab in the Model Explorer window and double clicking on the desired line object name.
