Form: Edit/Modify View Text {View type}
Use the Edit View Text command to edit or modify some of the items on the object views generated by the program.
Select any object view in the Drawing Component Views or in Drawing Sheet nodes on the Detailing tab of the Model Explorer.
Right click on the selected view to display a drop-down menu of commands that includes the Edit View Text command.
Click that command to access the Edit/Modify View Text {View type} form.
Several toolbar button are available on the Edit/Modify View Text {View Type} form to assist in editing the text items as well as adding new entities. On this view, most of the text items, including rebar callouts, dimension lines and other annotations, can be selected and modified. Only the grid lines and grid line dimensions can not be edited.

Copy the selected entities or items. |

Paste the copied or cut entities or items. |

Delete the selected entities or items. |

Zoom using Rubber band tool. |

Zoom-in one step. |

Zoom-out one step. Mouse wheel can also be use to zoom in and out. |

Select Pan mode. The Pan mode also can be activated by pressing the mouse wheel and moving the mouse. |

Change to selection mode. |

Add text at a point. Double click on the edit text to change the content of the text box. Use the handle on selected text to rotate as desired. |

Add a text pointer using two mouse clicks. Select the text pointer to change the shape and the location of the pointer. Double click on the text box to change its contents. |

Add a dimension line using three mouse clicks. Select the dimension line to edit its location or length. |

Use this tool to measure distance between any two points. Click the button, then click in the view. |

Bring the selected item to the front in the drawing order. Click the item, then click the button. |
|
Use this tool to bring the selected item to the top of the drawing order. Click the item, then click the button. |
|
Send the selected items backward in the drawing order. Click the item, then click the button. |
|
Send the selected items at the back in the drawing order. Click the item, then click the button. |
|
Set the drawing of the basic view before drawing the entities that have been added by using the tools in this form |

Show or modify the text properties of the selected items. Click the item, then click the button. This will supersede the properties assigned by the program using the Detailing menu > Drawing Format Properties command. |

Set the dimension line and arrowheads properties. Click the item, then click the button. This will supersede the properties assigned by the program using the Detailing menu > Drawing Format Properties command. |

Click this option to show or hide paper grid. |

Select this option to activate the snap to paper grid. |
|
Select this option to activate the snap to point option. |
|
Select this option to snap to lines and edges of other items in the view. |
|
Use this option to activate the snap to intersection. |
|
Use this option to activate snap to the mid point of the line. |

This will close the form and cancel all editing or modification. |

This will close the form and apply all changes and modification. |
Any dimension lines, text or annotation can be selected and modified using its handles or its properties can be changed by using one of the tools describe above.
Note: Most of the editing of and modifications to the view using this form are retained during the synchronization process.
