Use the Add Code Generated User Load Combinations form to select a design type (Steel Frame, Concrete Frame, Aluminum, Cold-Formed Steel) for which load combinations will be created. Design load combinations are the various combinations of the load cases that SAP2000 will use in checking the model.
If you select the design type by checking the appropriate check box, the program will add load combinations in accordance with the code selected using the Design menu > {Type} Design >View/Revise Preferences command and will then redisplay the Define Load Combinations form with the code-generated combinations shown in the Load Combinations display list.
If you click the Set Load Combinations Data button, the Code-Generated User Load Combinations for {Code} form will display; use that form to refine the definition of the code-generated load combinations before returning to the Define Load Combinations form.
Note that code-generated user load combinations do not change unless the user changes them, whereas code-generated automatic load combinations, which are generated by the program without any input from the user (other than selection of the code), will be updated by the program each time a design is run.
