Nonlinear Material Data Form

Use the Nonlinear Material Data form to specify the nonlinear material property data to be used if property nonlinearity is considered during analysis.

After the nonlinear data has been specified as part of the material property definition, the definition can be assigned to a selected area(s), frame(s), cable(s), tendon(s) or solid(s).

 

Access the Nonlinear Material Data form as follows:

  1. Click the Define menu > Materials command to access the Define Materials form. The Define Materials form also can be accessed by clicking the + (plus) symbol that may appear next to a drop-down list of available materials, such as the Material drop-down list on the Shell Section Data form, or the {Frame Section Type} Data forms.

  2. Check the Show Advanced Properties check box.

  3. Click the Add New Material button to to display the Material Property Options form.

  4. Click the Modify/Show Material Properties button to display the Material Property Data form.

  5. Click the Nonlinear Material Data button to access the Nonlinear Material Data form.
