Use the Shell Section Data form to specify the parameters for a shell section definition, including layered sections.
Section Name edit box. Use the suggested default or type a name in the edit box.
Section Notes Modify/Show button. Click this button to access the Area Section Notes form. Use that form to add Area Section notes to the model file.
Type options. Choose a shell type.
Modify/Show Layer Definition button. This button becomes available when the Shell-Layered/Nonlinear option is selected; note also that other areas of the form become unavailable when this option is selected. When this button is clicked, the Shell Section Layer Definition form displays.
Material Name drop-down list. Select the Material definition from the drop-down list.
Modify/Show Shell Design Parameters button. This button becomes enabled when the Material Name is CONC (concrete). Click this button to display the Concrete Shell Section Design Parameters form.
Material Angle edit box. Use this edit box to specify an angle to modify the local axis of the area objects to which this area section definition is assigned.
Set Time Dependent Properties button. Click this button to access the Time Dependent Properties form.
Thickness
Membrane edit box. Use the default or type a revised value for the membrane thickness in this edit box.
Bending edit box. Use the default or type a revised value for the bending thickness in this edit box.
Set Modifiers button. Click this button to access the Property Stiffness Modification Factors form.
Display Color box. The Display Color box shows the color that will be used to display the area section being defined. Click the Display Color box to display the Color form; click on a new color to change the display color.
Thermal Properties button. Click this button to access the Time Dependent Properties form.
