When an Assignments item is clicked, a brief explanation of that item appears at the bottom of the {Frame, Beam, Column, Brace} Information form.
Object ID - Please refer to Labels and Unique Names for an explanation of the items that comprise the Object ID.
Section Property - Identifies the Section Property assigned to the frame object.
Moment Frame Beam Type - Identifies if the frame object is a standard moment connection, a reduced beam section, or a Side Plate section. See Moment Frame Beam Types for an explanation of how to make the assignment.
Property Modifiers - Identifies Frame Property Modifiers assigned to the frame object.
End Releases. See Frame Releases/Partial Fixity for an explanation of how to make the assignment.
Releases - Identifies the end releases assigned to the start (End I) and end (End J) of the frame object. P denotes axial load. V2 and V3 denote shear force major and minor, respectively. T denotes torsion. M2 and M3 denote moment M22 (minor) and M33 (Major) respectively.
Partial Fixity Springs. Identifies if fixity springs have been assigned to the frame object, and if so, identifies the type and provides the associated numeric value.
End Length Offsets and the Rigid Zone Factor. Identifies how the end length offset was assigned to the frame object (automatic or defined) and displays the values used for offsets at the start (End I) and end (End J) of the frame object, if any. Also displays the rigid zone factor, if any. See End (Length) Offset for more information.
Insertion Point See Frame - Insertion Point for more information on the following items.
Cardinal Point. - Identifies the Cardinal Point of the frame object.
Joint Offsets - Identifies joint offsets assigned to the line object. Offsets are assigned to the start (End I) and end (End J) of the frame.
Mirror about 2 - Indicates if the Cardinal Point has been set to mirror about the local 2 axis. Yes or no.
Transform Frame Stiffness - Indicates if the Do not transform frame stiffness for offsets from centroid for non-P/T floors check box on the Frame Insertion Point form is checked (No on the Line Information form) or unchecked (Yes on the Line Information form). This setting will always be Yes if post-tensioning is present in the floor.
Output Stations - Identifies the maximum station spacing assigned to the frame object. See Frame Output Stations for more information.
Local Axis 2 Angle - Identifies the angle at which the local 2 axis is rotated. See Local Axis - Frames for more information.
Springs - Identifies the line spring assignment to the frame object.
Line Mass - Identifies the additional line mass assigned to the frame object.
TC Limits - Identifies any tension/compression assignments to the frame object.
Link Properties - Identified link properties assigned to the frame object. See Link Properties and Define - Link Support Properties for more information.
Nonlinear Hinges - Identifies the nonlinear hinges, if any, defined for the frame object. See Frame Nonlinear Hinges for more information.
Pier - Identified if the frame object has a pier assignment.
Spandrel - Identifies if the frame object has a spandrel assignment.
Material Overwrites - Identifies if a material overwrite has been assigned to a selected frame object.
Auto Mesh Type - Indicates if automatic frame subdivide assignments have been made to joints/frames/edges.
Include in Analysis Mesh - Identifies if the frame object should be used (Yes or No) to mesh a floor shell object. See Frame for Floor Meshing Options for more information.
Groups - Identifies a group to which the line object has been assigned.
Access the {Frame, Beam, Column, Brace} Information form by moving the cursor onto the object as if to select it, and then clicking the right mouse button rather than the left mouse button. Select the Assignments tab.
