The Edit menu > Cut command or Ctrl+X shortcut key in SAFE work similar to the cut command in other Windows-based programs. Selecting an object(s) and clicking the Cut command or Ctrl+X shortcut key will remove the selected object from the model and store it temporarily on the program clipboard for pasting. Unlike the Copy command, the Cut command eliminates the object from its original location.
Any selected part or the entire model may be cut and then pasted into a SAFE model at any user-specified location.
It is also possible to cut and paste the model geometry into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, and then modify the spreadsheet data before copying (using Excel) and pasting the modified data back into SAFE.
