Paste

Form: Paste Coordinates

The Edit menu > Paste command works in conjunction with the Cut or Copy commands to place items from the program clipboard at a position that you select. The Paste command copies only the geometry of the object. The Paste command does not copy the assignments or loads.

  1. Select an object and use the Edit menu > Cut or Edit menu > Copy command (or their associated shortcut keys, Ctrl+X and Ctrl+C) to cut or copy the object.

  2. Click the Edit menu > Paste command (or its associated shortcut key, Ctrl+V).

  3. Enter the change in coordinate positions by entering a Delta X, Delta Y and Delta Z in the edit boxes on the Paste Coordinates form. Note that X, Y, and Z are in the current coordinate system.

  4. Click the OK button.

Note:  Only points that are not at the model datum elevation can be moved in the Z direction. In general, the tops of top walls and columns and the bottom of bottom walls and columns can be moved in the Z direction.
