Draw Links

Use the following method to add a two- joint link when the model is displayed in a Plan View:

  1. If needed, click the View menu > Set Grid System Visibility command to ensure that the grids are visible.

  2. Use the View menu > Set Plan View  or the View menu > Set Elevation View command to set the active window and select the plane in which the two-joint link is to be added.

  3. Click the Draw menu > Draw Links command or click the toolbar button, , to display the Properties of Object form. Use the form to specify the Link Property and any offsets from the plane.

  4. Click on a grid intersection or any other point in that plane to locate the starting joint of the two-joint link, and then click on another joint or point to finish drawing the link.

Use the following method to add a two- joint link when the model is displayed in a 3-D View:

  1. Click the View menu > Set Grid System Visibility command or click the toolbar button, , to turn the grids on.

  2. Click the Draw menu > Draw Links command to display the Properties of Object  form. Use the form to specify the Link Property and any offsets.

  3. In the 3-D view, click on a grid intersection or joint to locate the starting joint of the two-joint link, and then click on another joint or point to finish drawing the link.
